The New CNN Poll Is A Joke And Here's Why
Pollsters are clearly struggling to measure the electorate, but the new CNN poll that shows Trump with a six point lead has red flags all over it.

The CNN Poll Is A Doozy
We have seen some really weird numbers in corporate media polling. In fact, some of the polling released in the last few months has been so bizarre that I now spend more time pointing out polls that don’t make sense than talking about polls that do.
Even considering the mixed standard polling has become, the latest CNN Poll is in a class by itself.
Most of the coverage of this poll won’t go beyond the top line number of Trump leading Biden 49%-43%, but it won’t look at how the poll got to that conclusion.
Before we get into the numbers, just a reminder that any criticism does not mean that the pollsters are biased, the numbers are skewed, or that their methods are wrong.
For years, pollsters have had trouble projecting the composition of the electorate and getting them to respond to polls.
Polls are only as good as their samples, and when samples are not representative the results can get wacky and lead to some inconsistent results.
So let’s look at a few of these numbers
Trump Leads With Women
Who knew that taking reproductive rights away from women and also being found liable for rape would make Donald Trump popular with women voters, according to the CNN Poll, that is exactly what happened.
Here is the chart:
Jeopardize the lives of women, and force them to have babies, and women voters respond by giving Trump the lead in the polls. Trump’s lead is the opposite of the reality that we have seen in actual voting since the Dobbs decision. This is the first red flag that suggests that something is a bit off with this poll.
Other polling has shown Biden with a double-digit lead over Trump with women, but the CNN Poll has Trump one point ahead.
If you think that is a little iffy, wait until you see what we have next.
