The Medicaid Cuts Could Be A MAGA Extinction Event
The Medicaid cuts that Republicans passed and Trump signed into law will hammer the voters who most supported Donald Trump.

According to Kaiser Family Foundation polling, even a majority of Trump voters view Medicaid as important to their communities:
About half (53%) of adults, including a similar share of those living in rural areas, say they or a family member has received help from Medicaid at some point. This includes about four in ten Republicans (44%) and those who voted for President Trump in 2024 (45%).
Regardless of whether they have a connection to the program, nearly all (97%) adults say Medicaid is at least somewhat important for people in their local community, including three-quarters who say it is “very important.” Large majorities across partisans, those who voted for President Trump in 2024, and adults living in rural areas say the program is “very important” for their local community. Most of the public also says Medicaid is important to them and their families, including four in ten Republicans and those who voted for President Trump in the 2024 election.
MAGA thinks Medicaid is important to their communities, which is why what Robert Reich said on Saturday on MSNBC was so critical:
The impact of these cuts are going to be felt in a huge way in red states, because it's not just poor, it's also working-class people. It is not black people, brown people. It's mostly white people. These are people who you would expect that the Republicans in congress who went along with this bill might pay some attention to. But the bill is going to come due in 2028. I mean, it's been carefully timed. So these cuts don't really happen until after the midterm elections.

The reason why these cuts are going to be so severe for rural America is that rural America is more dependent on Medicaid.
According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, “Medicaid covers a higher share of children and adults in small towns and rural areas compared to metro areas. Among Medicaid enrollees, 17% live in rural areas. Rural communities generally have higher poverty rates and worse health outcomes compared to urban residents. Additionally, rural residents face a number of barriers to accessing health care including longer travel distances to hospitals, provider shortages, less access to employer-sponsored health coverage, and higher uninsured rates.”
Only 35% of Trump supporters favor these cuts, and because Trump is so popular in rural areas, these cuts are going to heavily impact white voters who cast their ballots for Trump probably multiple times.
Since these cuts are not supposed to take effect until 2028, many of these voters are unlikely to even be aware that the person they voted for is taking their healthcare away. However, states will have to prepare for the cuts long before they occur, which means that people will lose their coverage before the cuts take effect.
It is a bit of karma or justice that the people who are responsible for putting Trump back in the Oval Office are going to pay the price for his policies.
If these cuts ever happen, they are going to hit MAGA hard, and being that these cuts are life and death, they equal a mass extinction event for Trump’s supporters.

They take effect too far in the future to be helpful in exterminating MAGAts.
Their ignorance and blind faith in a snake oil salesman will cost them dearly
