The Media Obsesses Over Biden's Age And Ignores A Trump Medical Lie
While the media spent Joe Biden's birthday talking about his age, Donald Trump came up with a doctor's note dodge.

Biden’s Age Has Become The Media’s New ‘Thing’
What is a corporate media that is dependent on drama to do when faced with an incumbent president who has done a good quiet drama free job and could win reelection over their chosen chaos monger who also just so happened to elevate legacy media back into relevance at a time when they were fading away?
If you big corporate media and the president is Joe Biden, you obsess about something that Biden can’t control, namely his age.
Here is Peter Baker in The New York Times:
For President Biden, who turns 81 on Monday, another birthday may bring more liability than revelry, offering one more reminder of his age to an already skeptical electorate. Unlike other presidents who have celebrated birthdays with lavish political events, Mr. Biden plans to observe his milestone privately with family in Nantucket later this week.
The best birthday gift the oldest president in American history could hope for would be a strategy for assuaging voters’ concerns, but that has been hard to come by.
According to The New York Times’ framing of the 2024 election voters aren’t worried about democracy, the loss of their reproductive rights, or the potential return of a Hitler-quoting fascist.
Nope. None of those things matter.
What matters most is that Joe Biden is 81 years old.
The premise sounds silly when you read it, but that is where the corporate media has chosen to hang its hat. They’ll take the fascist as long as the fascist goose steps up their profits and gets them all more books on the bestseller charts.
Meanwhile, America’s one-man crime wave (senior division) pulled a stunt that didn’t draw a blink from the media.
A Doctor’s Note To Be President
In a classic Trump news dump, on Thanksgiving week in the evening, Donald Trump released a note from his doctor claiming that the former president has lost weight, leads an active lifestyle, has no health issues at all, and is cognitively excellent.
The guy who seems to spend most of his time thinking that Barack Obama is president has been deemed cognitively excellent by his own doctor.
At this point, it seems like it might be a good thing to have a large and well-funded free press start asking some questions.
For example, the press could ask Donald Trump why he thinks that a short note from his doctor is a substitute for the release of decades of medical records. The press could also why Trump thinks that the American people don’t deserve to know his medical history when he is almost 80 years old and has told them nothing.
Those are a few of the many questions that should be asked, but instead, nothing is said by the same media who claim that Biden is too old to be president, but also tell voters to take Trump’s word for it on his medical records.
The Media Deck Is Stacked Against Joe Biden
What the media is doing isn’t biased. It is an intentional choice about the way that an election is covered to promote an outcome that will make them the most money. In the process of chasing the most profit, the press could be helping to destroy democracy in the United States.
The narrative deck is being stacked against Joe Biden, as the US legacy media has completely abandoned their intended role of informing the electorate about issues that matter, and is instead selling out democracy for cash.
America deserves much better from its media.

The Media Obsesses Over Biden's Age And Ignores A Trump Medical Lie
Thank you for stating the truth!
Apparently Biden's competence is boring and Trump's drama is more attractive to the media, no matter how destructive and dangerous Trump is to the country. It reminds me of the movie Network from years ago. Ratings are what it's all about.
"Excellent cognitive exam..." How much did this lying charlatan get paid?
