The End Of The Shutdown Turns Into A Trump Epstein Cover-Up GOP Nightmare
It was supposed to be a victory day for Republicans, but it turned into another day in the GOP's never ending Trump cover-up of the Epstein files.
It was only a couple of days ago that Democrats were outraged over the way that the government shutdown ended, but that outrage quickly shifted as another layer was piled on to what is the biggest presidential scandal since Watergate.
Once Adelita Grijalva was officially sworn into office, the Epstein files discharge petition reached 218 signatures, and the wheels quickly went into motion. Speaker Mike Johnson surprised many when he announced that he would bring the legislation calling for the release of the Epstein files to the House floor next week.
The reason why Johnson is not waiting until after the Thanksgiving recess to bring up the legislation is that a large number of Republicans are expected to vote to release the files, and Johnson wants to get what looks like a big defeat out of the way and move on.
