Tennessee Troopers Carry Brave 80 Year-Old Woman Out of Hearing For Protesting
80-year-old Lynne McFarland stood up for the rights of undocumented immigrants, refusing to leave a meeting over a controversial bill and so THP Troopers carried her out and arrested her.

This story involves 80-year-old Lynne McFarland in Tennessee, who refused to leave a Senate Finance Committee hearing over a controversial bill to charge undocumented children for education or refuse their enrollment altogether.
“She stayed in her seat and said she could not leave because ‘what they were doing was wrong,’” WSMV reported Tuesday.
Tennessee Highway Patrol Troopers warned McFarland that she would be arrested if she refused to leave, to which McFarland replied, “That’s okay. I can’t do it.”
These troopers then proceeded to forcefully carry this 80-year-old woman out of the hearing. She was arrested and later posted a $2,000.00 bond.
She objected because what they were doing was wrong. She resisted peacefully. She never wavered from her moral stance.
