I’m not convinced we’re seeing the end of Trump’s influence on MAGA, Republicans, or the electorate generally; so I’m especially interested in why you think so. But if your premise is accurate, how do we capitalize on the moment to arrest the progress that’s already been made by the fascist far right and close this chapter on the erosion of our democracy and shuttering of the institutions that underpin our freedoms?

One of my beliefs is that Trump does not want to be remembered as a president of the US, rather as a dictator who decimated a democracy and its citizens. Presidents are remembered more as a ‘whole’, some with remembrances of specific actions, but a dictator lives on and on in our minds and on our lips - our children and their children and so on, will tell their stories of dictators and the atrocities they committed. Do you think it’s possible this assumption could be what Trump wants, needs to fulfill his sick narcissism. His want, his need to live on in the minds of the people throughout the globe?
