Democratic Governors Smoke Out Those Who Are Trying To Push Out Biden

The Wednesday night White House meeting and the very public subsequent show of support for President Biden enraged House and Senate Democrats, who you may not have been aware are privately trying to get President Biden off the Democratic ticket.

Why are House and Senate Democrats trying to give Biden the boot?

They are worried about their own jobs.

Politico reported:

Panicked about having to run on the same ballot with an irretrievably wounded nominee, Democratic lawmakers sharply, if still privately, turned against Biden this week.

Most congressional Democrats simply see no path to take back the House and hold their Senate majority if they are led by a president who large majorities of the country, as new polls indicate, believe is too old for the job.

House and Senate Democrats have decided to read polls and boot their nominee instead of listening to their constituents and doing what the people who vote for them might want.

Their attitude appears to be, who cares if Trump ends up back in the White House? At least they will still have their jobs if House and Senate Democrats win reelection.

It is vital to note that House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer are not behind the effort to oust the President.

It is scared Democrats elsewhere in the House and Senate who are moving to replace the top of the ticket. Also, these Democrats who want a change seem to want Vice President Harris as the nominee.

The media has been able to keep the story about Biden going for so long because Democrats keep adding fuel to the fire. It doesn’t matter that this story is bad for the entire Democratic Party and that if Harris replaces Biden, those House and Senate Democrats who are pushing for change aren’t likely to survive.

Keeping the story going and putting pressure on the president benefits those who want Biden gone.
