House Republicans Signal That They Will Vote Not To Expel George Santos
Rep. George Santos (R-NY) is facing 23 federal felony counts. In any other line of work, including one that involves him working for the taxpayers, that should be enough to get him fired.
According to many House Republicans, it is not.
CNN’s Manu Raju reported, “Many Republicans indicating they’ll vote against George Santos expulsion resolution bc House Ethics isn’t done with probe — clear sign it will fail tonight. Nicole Mallitokas, NY R: “We need to have the facts that are put together by the ethics committee before taking the vote.”
The vote to expel Santos will fail because enough Republicans are using the House Ethics Committee statement that they will have more information on November 17th on their Santos investigation as an excuse not to expel him.
