Donald Trump is so desperate to save himself from the historic rejection of the voters that he is threatening conservative groups and looking to undo Steve Bannon’s conviction.
The Trump White House is unhappy with the way some conservatives are blaming him for the midterm loss he inspired with not only his bad economic policies, but his strong-arming of members of his party to such an extent that they’ve gone along as weak enablers of his worst instincts and thus had nothing to run on but racism, sexism and bigotry.

Sadly for them, the country was not in the mood for a culture war because they can’t afford gas and groceries due to Trump’s corruption.
Naturally, Trump responded to being held accountable by his own base with threats, saying “We’re watching you” in a memo from the White House Office of Public Liaison to a more than 3,000 conservative groups.
They later denied that the threat is a threat. In other words, typical Trump.
“The White House delivered a warning to conservative groups on Thursday: We’re watching you. Two days after voters rebuked President Trump and his party, the administration moved to hold together a coalition that was beginning to splinter,” the Wall Street Journal reported in an exclusive.

“As always, we are monitoring statements, press releases, and media engagements from your organizations,” the memo said. Leaders of two prominent conservative organizations confirmed that they had received the memo.
Asked for comment, the White House denied that their threat was a threat. “A White House spokeswoman said the email wasn’t a threat and was part of a larger effort to mobilize outside supporters. The spokeswoman said the Office of Public Liaison has sent out messages with similar language in the past.”
But when the Wall Street Journal got its hands on previous messages from the liaison’s office, they “don’t include language about monitoring the groups’ statements.”
Donald Trump is now threatening his own supporters.
