I think Mike

Johnson should be tarred and feathered and run out of the government. I thin the gop wanting to give a take giveaway to the rich at the expense of the American people should also be run out of the government.

Sir Cromulent1: Are you a aware that over 50% of American adults can only read at a 5th grade level and below. That's a reason MAGA felt like he was 'one of them' and he 'spoke their language.'

The majority of American adults couldn't understand former Vice President Harris' advanced vocabulary. Democrats and Independents should dress down a bit [e.g., men could wear profession non-collared shirts]. They should still act professionally, holding decorum while speaking to connect with your audience.

Please do not use foul language -- the 'cool points' aren't worth being disrespectful and losing credibility -- you're not our friend or 'bro,' you are our representative who should be a positive role model for our youth.

And the GOP won't dare harm the bosses the Uber wealthy and rich corporations who own them and everything that they bribe them to do for them for pennies on the dollar. Great investment.

Notable that the “deeper cuts” solons are from states where the neediest populations are. What’s up with that?

Hmm...

Does he have any undocumented employees?

There are plenty of other jam and jelly companies and JM Smucker does not produce private label products, so what you get at Trader Joe's or Smart & Final is not a Smucker's jar in disguise. And should he be referred to now as Schmucker?

They were going to pay for the tax cuts with “trillion dollar savings” from 1) tariffs replacing the tax revenue lost and 2) Musk “DOGE $avings.”

The first will not will raise anything close to what is lost in extending the tax cuts, and in the second, DOGE decimated existing government services for less than $200billion in “savings”.

Thank you for writing this! Mary Trump wrote today about how we always think republicans vote against their own self interests, but she reminded us that their self interests are actually not what we think they are. They want other people to be worse off than they are. It’s disgusting. While I am glad it didn’t pass today, it’s disgusting that the reason is it’s not enough for them, rather than the actual scenario of it being a devastating, cruel, and evil bill. They don’t mind that part.

I’m really confused. Why isn’t it a breach of contract when an elected representative, who is a federal employee, fails to act in the best interests of his or her constituents? If more people will be harmed than will be helped by safety net legislation, how can they argue that the majority of the people who voted them into office will benefit from it than will be harmed by it? Anyway, none of the current republican members of Congress are proposing legislation that will help their constituents. That is dereliction of duty. At the very least they should be impeached. Probably would be found guilty of treason and end up in jail. Regardless of what crimes they have committed, they are wholly corrupt, ethically and morally deficient, and lack a conscience. They gotta go!

The republicans are between a rock and hard place; they will either lose dt's approval because of disloyalty, or lose their constituencies because they vote to take away their rights and benefits. The choice is hard for these folks. So this will continue for a while, with shrieking threats from Mara Lago, begging pleas from the Speaker, more maybe-unspeakable deals, until finally, draped in shame, it will be taped together to go to the Senate, where it will languish indefinitely, accompanied by fury and name calling from truth social.
