Yeah, the fascists are embarrassing themselves ……like they did in the 2000 election in Florida. Or in 2015 when they destroyed our Supreme Court. Or when they overturned Roe, or when they elected Trump twice.

I could go on, but if they keep ‘embarrassing themselves’ ,we won’t have a nation left.

You can thank every red voter, every third-party idiot and every non-voter

You are attaching power somewhere that doesn't exist.

Here is the really big point that you are missing. All of those things you are boo-hooing about we are responsible for. In 2000, Democrats let Bush set the narrative and sidelined a popular president in a campaign, and lost narrowly. If Democrats would have run a better campaign, it would not have come down to Florida.

The Supreme Court wasn't destroyed in 2015. You have your dates wrong. Democrats didn't take Trump seriously in 2016, and the consequences of Trump winning impacted the Supreme Court. Democrats assumed in 2024 that America wouldn't elect a convicted felon. They were wrong.

The cycle here isn't Republicans taking power. It is Democrats bumbling their way to surrendering power. Republicans are showing their lack of power in Texas.

My advice would be to stop look at the situation as Republicans are power, and flip the perspective and ask why does the Democratic Party continue to give power away?

Give me a break, we all know MAGAts are incapable of being embarrassed. You have to have human emotions for that to happen.

Yes, Texas Republicans have been exposed. The Democrats have also been exposed as people who talk a good game, but most show up only with words. Where is the DNC? Where is the Party Leadership? Where is the broad, National messaging? A handful of Governors, a few Federal Representatives and Senators and Online Liberal and Progressive Pundits. Where is the organized, hard hitting, nationwide messaging from the leadership?

I agree we need to bring everyone to the table, and we need to hit them hard. I am so tired of there being no actual plans for the dems to at the very least look like they know what they are doing. Cory Booker is the only one speaking out. A fund to cover the expenses of rogue dens is fine with me, but who will oversee this?Let's just stop the bullshit. We need to have a massive march on DC and bring everything and everyone out i the open. Let's see what kind of president we have. Let's bring it all to his front lawn and confront him on the steps of the Capitol.

This, right here, is why I can’t bring myself to switch from Independent to Democrat. I mean, seriously - grow a pair and put your money where your mouth is. They keep asking for donations and then when the going demands real action? Crickets 🦗

I voted for Clinton Biden and Harris. If you found it in your heart to vote for Stein or any other third-partier, we have a problem

I like the idea of a Democracy Fund. It is the best investment I can think of for the future of my family and country. The office holders from Texas earn $600/month and have other jobs. Abbot has said that he will file a lawsuit against them if they fundraise to pay for their absence.

So how can we donate directly to those folks walking the walk without PAC or national party or whoever taking a cut?

Excellent piece. We all need to call the offices of Chuck Schumer & Hakeem Jeffries - our invisible ‘party leaders’ & demand that they set up a fund to support the Texas Dems so they can stay out of Texas through the end of the year. That’s a lot easier than districting a lot is states. I promise to call Monday - will u?
