Republicans Attack Biden On Easter
Republicans tried to weaponize Christianity against President Biden because he marked Transgender Visibility Day, which is always on March 31, but this year fell on Easter Sunday.
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson posted:
The Biden White House has betrayed the central tenet of Easter — which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Banning sacred truth and tradition—while at the same time proclaiming Easter Sunday as “Transgender Day”—is outrageous and abhorrent. The American people are taking note.
Apparently, the central tenet of Easter is hating trans people. I never saw that one in the Bible.
The leading theocrat in the US government was far from alone.
That bastion of Christianity and welfare fraud, Gov. Tate Reeves of Mississippi posted:
President Biden has declared that Easter Sunday is now Transgender Day. This is an intentional attempt to insult and mock Christians across America. Shocking - but not surprising. In Mississippi, we will proudly celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the forgiveness of sinners.
None of this is true.
President and First Lady Biden released an Easter message to the nation.
Biden didn’t declare Easter to be Transgender Visibility Day. Again, It has always been on March 31.
As we will see below, Democrats made quick work of these false attacks on President Biden.
