Rachel Maddow Highlights America's Bad Ass Tradition Of Stopping Authoritarians Like Trump
Rachel Maddow pointed out that neither winter nor the holidays are stopping the protests against Trump because America has a bad ass tradition of standing up against authoritarians.
The protests against Donald Trump have been relentless since he returned to office. The protests began as soon as Trump unleashed Elon Musk’s DOGE, and haven’t let up for a moment since.
There have been record-breaking single days of protest against this president through No Kings rallies.

People haven’t been intimidated by National Guard troops in cities, or gangs of poorly trained ICE agents roaming America with masks on.
The pushback to Trump’s power grab continues to grow stronger with time.
During his show on MS Now, Maddow said, “Frankly, nobody’s being quiet right now. I mean, usually around Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season, the start of the really cold weather you expect things to kind of chill out a little bit. That is not happening at all.”
The Trump administration was definitely that people would get distracted by the holiday season and stop paying attention and taking to the streets.
One of the things that every presidential administration tells itself when it is unpopular is that people will lose interest and something else will come along in the news cycle.
People aren’t losing interest in protesting the Trump administration because the administration continues to dump gas on the fire and give people more to protest.
Rarely has there been an administration that almost seems to be openly at war with a majority of the country, but that is the position that the Trump administration has put itself into.
Maddow went on to suggest that America has a long tradition of standing up to and defeating authoritarians.
