Donald Trump is being hidden from the British public and instead being 'locked-in' to Windsor, but they've found a way around that by streaming photos of Epstein, Trump and Andrew onto Windsor Castle.

President Donald Trump is being hidden from the British public, some of whom don't like him very much, but they've found a way around that by streaming photos of Epstein, Trump and Andrew onto Windsor Castle.

Unlike some past state visits, events involving Trump this “state” visit are being held almost entirely within the secure, private grounds of Windsor Castle or Chequers (the prime minister's official country residence in Aylesbury), to limit opportunities for public interaction, as most sane people would try to do with this particular president.

The British are trying to fête Trump to keep him from unleashing his most unhinged attacks on their still suffering post-Brexit and post-pandemic economy and perhaps to sign a technology partnership that will avoid the regulation discussion roiling the country, but it’s also giving that they also don’t really want to be seen with him or expose him to the protests they know will come if they venture out into reality.

And so, world affairs editor Sam Kiley of The Independent called this an attempt to leave Trump “with a party bag of Disney memories so that Trump doesn’t hit the UK with random tariffs or clamber further onto the lap of Vladimir Putin.”

Are we embarrassed yet?
