This morning, around 5 AM eastern time, those of us who get the White House pool reports were alerted that President Joseph R. Biden had traveled, unannounced, to Kyiv, Ukraine to meet with President Zelenskyy ahead of the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
This visit to a war zone in which there are no U.S. troops is unprecedented in modern history. In Joe Biden, it seems clear that we got the President we needed for this perilous time for global democracy.
