While looking through some new polling released today, the phrase this result has been the same for years kept being used to summarize the new data, which made me think that maybe a lot of people are looking at the current political landscape through the wrong lens.

What if the arrival of Trump and his team of billionaires isn’t a partisan victory but a victory for the extremely rich over the rest of us?

Jeff Bezos is giving $1 million to Trump’s Inauguration Fund, and so is Mark Zuckerberg. Elon Musk spent nearly $300 million to get Trump elected, and countless other billionaires funded his campaign while small donations from the regular folks dried up.

The billionaire class is excited about Trump, and the excitement goes deeper than tax cuts.
