A 37-year-old man named Antonio Moreida was struck by an unmarked vehicle driven by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in Woodland, California on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

Moreida sustained minor injuries and was evaluated at the scene before being taken to a hospital.

The crash happened on Tuesday. By Wednesday, Trump’s DHS was not only denying that an ICE agent struck the the legal observer, but they accused him of staging the crash:

"This is false. ICE did NOT hit a pedestrian. An agitator jumped onto the hood of an ICE vehicle and the officer driving applied the brakes. The agitator slid off the hood. ICE immediately contacted EMS and the Woodland Police Department. Flopping for the camera is dangerous, especially when it interferes with a federal law enforcement operation."

Unfortunately for them, the incident was captured on video by multiple sources, including security cameras, a home ring camera, and Moreida’s own GoPro/phone while he was documenting federal immigration activity in the neighborhood.
