Pete Hegseth gave away the game this morning that he was lying to save face and serve propaganda when he said Trump is someone who never backs down. In reality, Trump earned the nickname “TACO” for “Trump Always Chickens Out” by Wall Street due to his propensity for backing down in negotiations.

Because they can’t explain why we are in this war of choice, the Trump regime is relying on basic emotional manipulation tools. They claimed Iran had the power to strike the US and was an imminent threat, but then this lie got knocked down. So they’ve jumped around looking for a lie they can use in official settings like Pete Hegseth’s press conference this Tuesday morning.

And that is how we got Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth claiming “regime change has occurred” in Iran.

“This new regime, because regime change has occurred…”

Reader, regime change has most definitely not occurred.

Full press conference:

Back on March 2, Hegseth claimed this was not a regime change war.

So, in that one sentence on March 2, Hegseth told the truth by accident. Perhaps he should get one of Trump’s “Trump Kennedy” medals for this incredible feat.

There has not been regime change in Iran as of March 31, but by many experts’ accounts, this is a regime change war, because the United States and Israel have pursued a strategy of regime change in Iran through military strikes and the killing of top leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on February 28, 2026.

However, the fundamental structure of the Islamic Republic remains in place, and Mojtaba Khamenei, a son of the killed Supreme Leader, has taken over. He is no doubt even more angry at the US, given that the US killed multiple members of his family, so we now have an exceptionally radicalized against the U.S. member of the existing regime in charge.

International experts have continued to point out that the power structure remains the same in Iran.
