The level of incompetence related to the data breach that saw senior Trump administration officials add a journalist to Signal app discussion of military strikes in Yemen that resulted in the journalist being texted the military plan is almost mind-boggling until you consider that this is an administration led by Donald Trump, who stole classified documents and refused to give them back to the point of being criminally charged.
The same Donald Trump who leaked classified information numerous times during his first stint in the White House, and the same first Trump administration that did national business using unsecured communications.
It might not be surprising given this context, but it still sends a chilling message to the country.
