People in 150 cities across this nation gathered to protest DOGE’s attempts to privatize the sacred entity of freedom that is the U.S. Post Office.
This attack on a basic freedom brought people to the streets in protest on Thursday, in what became a national day of action by the American Postal Workers Union (APWU).
Musk, who has never worked in government and whose Tesla, Starlink and SpaceX businesses have relied heavily upon taxpayer handouts, suggested the Post Office be sold off and privatized to “save money.” Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, the head of the UPSP (who has undertaken a massive effort to undermine the Post Office and make it less efficient) then agreed to let DOGE find "further efficiencies.”
