There has not been an attorney general since Watergate, and this includes Alberto Gonzales under George W. Bush, who has failed as comprehensively as Pam Bondi has.

In 2025, Bondi said that the Epstein client list was on her desk and that she planned to release it. Shortly after Trump raised a ruckus, Bondi claimed that there never was a client list and she would not be releasing anything.

Bondi released binders titled Epstein Files Phase 1 to some conservative digital creators, but it turned out that those binders were full of already publicly released materials.

After Trump told her in a direct message that he had accidentally publicly posted about bringing charges against his political enemies, Bondi had the charges she brought against James Comey and Letitia James tossed out of court.

Bondi has torched the reputation of the DOJ by having indictments tossed on a regular basis. U.S. attorneys that Trump appointed have been found to have been illegally serving and have lost their positions.

Everything is a mess, and in a bid to keep her job, Bondi posted a chart to social media, and it turned out to be her biggest failure yet.
