The expert on “collusion” with hostile powers showed his face this morning on his misnamed social media to warn you all that people are “illegally and collusively boycotting” Telsa.
“… the Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World's great automakers, and Elon's "baby," in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for… I'm going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk, a truly great American.”
Usually, we don’t report on Trump’s words, because his words are not only irrelevant and a distraction from what he does, but often a lie. Trump often says the exact opposite of what he’s doing, and then later takes it all back and then says it again, thus gaming the media coverage because he’s “denied” he is doing what he said he’s doing.
For example, it’s highly unlikely he is going to “buy” a brand new Tesla.
But his post is worth discussing because it’s coming as Tesla shares plunged 15%:
… its worst one-day drop since 2020 – after an investment bank slashed its delivery forecasts and broader market fears spooked investors, according to Forbes. By then, Tesla shares were down over 55% from their mid-December high. To put the collapse in perspective, more than $800 billion in market capitalization has been wiped out – a sum roughly equal to the entire GDP of Poland, as Ian King of Sky News noted. This Tesla stock price drop has made it the worst-performing major tech stock of the period and raised pressing questions: What does this mean for investors?
And because Elon Musk is Trump’s favorite pet right now, someone egotistical and foolish enough to undertake potentially illegal behavior on Trump’s behalf (likely because he’s been promised things that will never come to pass or will come to pass but he will pay dearly for when corruption is uncovered and someone needs to be tossed under the wheels of the Putin Express), the plunging TSLA stock is of interest to us all.
It also seems obvious that Musk is desperate for a change in TSLA stock price, as right-wing extremist Laura Loomer is pushing TSLA, after a wild ride of public conflict with Trump and Musk.
Here’s the current TSLA year-to-date stock chart:
TSLA has previously been called “significantly overvalued” by analysts, while others have remained bullish on it, however yesterday an analyst warned the stock was “still a sell after its 40% plunge.”
Boycotts
Importantly, it is not ILLEGAL to not buy something.
