In what figuratively would be the dark of night, given that they notified no officials, Norfolk Southern began on Wednesday to dump toxic materials from their train derailment into Wayne County.
Norfolk Southern Secretly Spreads Its Toxins Around
Without telling Michigan officials, Norfolk Southern looked approximately 241 miles north, in Wayne County, Michigan to dump some of the toxic, hazardous soil and more from its derailment and explosion in East Palestine, Ohio.
Wayne County Executive Warren Evans said during a Friday evening press conference that “more than 218,000 gallons of toxic liquid waste was on its way to the county and some had already arrived,” WXYZ reported.
“Officials said they were ‘blindsided’ and weren't informed of the waste transport.”
