Ronna McDaniel’s Hiring Sets Off An On Air Firestorm

The decision by the corporate bosses at NBC News to hire former RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel and pay her $300,000 at a time when other journalists and staffers are being laid off wasn’t another media election year staffing decision.

The Comcast-owned network’s executives appeared to have made this decision on their own. Chuck Todd, Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, and Nicolle Wallace have all confirmed that they were not told in advance about McDaniel’s hiring. They found out that their employer had hired a person who conspired with Trump to overturn the 2020 election through media reports.
