Jared Kushner Returns To Help Trump
We recently discussed how Ivanka Trump could soon return to her father’s presidential campaign. It turns out that her husband has also been working to get his father-in-law back into the White House.
Two sources told Reuters that Kushner has been calling donors ahead of a May 14 Manhattan fundraiser for Trump, who is facing Democrat Joe Biden in the November presidential election. Kushner's parents, Seryl and Charles Kushner, are among more than a dozen co-hosts for the event, according to an invitation.
"He has called a few people," one source said of Kushner, asking to remain anonymous as the conversations were private. A second source said Kushner called them, inviting them to attend the fundraiser and asking for names of other prospective donors.
Kushner is like a salesperson who is hitting up existing clients for leads and referrals. Instead of selling insurance, Kushner is selling an authoritarian plot to end democracy.
This news comes on the heels of Donald Trump promising the oil industry that if they donate $1 billion to his campaign, he will roll back all of Biden’s progress on green energy and green jobs.
Donald Trump doesn’t have any money, and his campaign fundraising is being eaten up by legal bills and paying lawyers. Add the added wrinkle that Trump exhausted his donor base by constantly asking for money, so his small donor fundraising has shrunk, and you have the perfect storm for a serious threat to democracy, as will be discussed below.
