Media Busted Falling For Trump's Project 2025 Lie

The credulous media said Project 2025 was shutting down, but you knew better and now there's proof.

Days ago, it was announced that Paul Dans was stepping down from Project 2025 and credulous media outlets informed their readers that the Project to End America was shutting down due to attacks from Democrats and oh, yeah, Trump says he knows nothing about it anyway.

“Have no idea who is in charge of it,” Trump claimed in July.

The Trump campaign put out one of its mafia-style warnings that Trump has no association with Project 2025 and anyone who suggests otherwise, well: “It will not end well for you.”

LIES LIES AND MORE LIES — OH, AND A THREAT, TOO:

We warned people not to fall for it, because this is what fascists do. They rebrand, they obfuscate, and they lie but they do not stop trying to destroy your freedom for the purposes of their own power.

It didn’t take long for it all to come crashing down — as we predicted.

BUSTED

And then it came out that Trump hopped on a private flight charted by Heritage Foundation President and leader of Project 2025 Kevin Roberts from Trump’s home in Palm Beach, Florida to the Heritage Foundation’s annual conference in Amelia Island.

Yes, in April of 2022, the ex-president and convicted felon Donald Trump took a 45-minute private flight with Roberts, the Washington Post reported yesterday.

They based their report on accounts of people familiar with the trip as well as plane-tracking data. Oh, and there’s a picture, too.

WHAT WAS HAPPENING?

Ok, they shared a plane but we don’t know that they talked about Project 2025, right?

Well… not so much. It turns out that Heritage was in the early stages of putting Project 2025 together and they were flying to a Heritage conference where Trump gave the keynote speech, in which he admitted/bragged about:

“They’re going to lay the groundwork and detail plans for exactly what our movement will do.”

Hmmm…. Seeming pretty pro-fascism, then. Ignite the pregnancy surveillance.

Roberts confirmed in an April of 2024 interview that he brought Project 2025 up to Trump.

“I personally have talked to President Trump about Project 2025, because my role in the project has been to make sure that all of the candidates who have responded to our offer for a briefing on Project 2025 get one from me,” Roberts said in a separate interview in April of 2024 that was noted in the Post piece.

THE HARRIS CAMPAIGN CALLS OUT THE ALIGNMENT

Harris 2024 spokesperson James Singer issued the following statement:

“The head of Project 2025 confirmed it and Donald Trump said it himself, Project 2025 will, ‘lay the groundwork and detail plans for exactly what our movement will do.’

“Just so everyone is clear, those plans include: banning abortion, monitoring women’s pregnancies, raising costs on families, and firing public servants to install extreme Trump loyalists.”
