Trump’s business was convicted of 17 tax fraud and related counts in New York City. The verdict is a black eye for the Trump brand, which is essentially his business model. Donald Trump was never a real estate developer as much as he has been a brand, and if his brand is tarnished even more than it has been, his ability to make money takes a serious hit.
The bigger problem for Trump is that the verdict opens the door to making it easier to charge the man himself.
