Kristi Noem And JD Vance Humiliate Themselves After Shooting At Dallas ICE Facility
Both DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and Vice President JD Vance tried to propagandize a shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas, and ended up embarrassing themselves.
Donald Trump has built an entire administration that jumps to conclusions on social media and attempts to propagandize every news event for partisan political gain.
This is not the way that the government and the people who serve in it are supposed to function, but Trump now has a whole slew of people in important positions who behave just like him on social media.

After there was a reported shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas, TX, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem posted on X:
There was a shooting this morning at the Dallas ICE.gov Field Office. Details are still emerging but we can confirm there were multiple injuries and fatalities. The shooter is deceased by a self-inflicted gun shot wound. While we don’t know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them. It must stop. Please pray for the victims and their families.
That sounds like someone shot ICE agents in Dallas, doesn’t it?
Vice President JD Vance chimed in also on X:
The obsessive attack on law enforcement, particularly ICE, must stop. I’m praying for everyone hurt in this attack and for their families.
According to WFAA in Dallas, the people shot and killed were not ICE agents, but detainees:
Two ICE detainees were killed and one person was injured at a Dallas ICE facility Wednesday morning and one shooter is dead, police sources tell WFAA.
Police responded to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office shortly before 7 a.m. Wednesday at 8101 North Stemmons Freeway in Dallas, off Interstate 35E. Sources told WFAA that police were searching for a possible sniper or multiple shooters. It remains unclear if there were any other shooters involved in the incident.
Government officials pushed a story on social media that was flat-out wrong. The only thing that Vance and Noem had correct was a shooting at an ICE facility with multiple fatalities.
Their implication that the people killed were ICE agents was wrong.
It is also dangerous and irresponsible for a vice president and cabinet secretary to make inaccurate comments to the public.
There is a broader crisis that is subtle, but important to our democracy, that is illustrated by the behavior of Vance and Noem that we will discuss below.
