Kremlin Praises Trump as Europe Unites to Support Ukraine
Trump's Ukraine shift is praised by the Kremlin as European leaders strategize how to go it alone without the U.S. in defense of Ukraine and the west.

Is the U.S. being left behind as a new global alignment is forced by Trump’s inaction and adherence to Russia’s playbook? While the defense challenges for Europe are many, they are going to give it their all… without the U.S.
Ukraine’s ambassador to London, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, accused Trump-led U.S. of "destroying" the established world order by trying to meet Russia "halfway", Frank Gardner reported for BBC News.
“Speaking at a security conference at Chatham House, he warned delegates there was a risk Nato could collapse and warned Europe could become Russia's next target.”
Zelenskyy and EU were in a “show of unity as Russia warns against European troops in Ukraine,” Nick Beake for BBC News noted.
And perhaps most embarrassingly, Beake observed, “The reception President Zelensky received today from his European hosts was a world away from the treatment he got in the White House not even a week ago.”
The Trump cringe isn’t just a passing moment
Not only are the 27 leaders trying to meet Ukraine’s needs right now, but seeing that the U.S. is no longer a dependable partner, they’re looking to massively upgrade Europe’s defense industry.
Beake detailed, “Public spending limits are being abandoned, loans of hundreds of billions of euros are being talked about and strict rules on borrowing could be thrown out the window… But how do they translate to action? The outcome of today’s emergency meeting may underwhelm those hoping for momentous announcements.”
Russia is warning against the EU or NATO sending troops to Ukraine, saying they will see this as war against Russia, which is good propaganda because what are their troops doing in Ukraine? Trump is helping Putin set up a “deal” wherein not giving Putin what he wants is “war” and giving Putin exactly what he wants is “peace.”
War is peace, etc.
