The Harris Campaign Is Taking It To Trump
During a Thursday morning Fox and Friends appearance, there were obvious signs to those who have covered the ex-president for a long time that he has been rattled by the arrival of Vice President Kamala Harris as his general election opponent.
Trump went back to attacking mail-in voting as bad and claimed he knows nothing about Project 2025 and has no plans to read it, but Trump also supported it. The ex-president pointed to the number of yard signs he saw while riding around Florida and told his supporters that they don’t have to vote in November.
The Harris campaign responded to Trump’s 30-minute Fox News phone interview with a series of observations:
Trump praised his Project 2025
Trump is flustered and lashing out
When Trump wasn’t lying, he was making threats
Abortion bans are good, mail-in voting is bad
Praised dictators because he wants to be one
Trump is clearly worried he made the wrong pick in JD Vance
Trump is old and quite weird?
This guy shouldn’t be president ever again
If anyone wants an alternative, Kamala Harris is offering one.
Even people who like Donald Trump will admit that he is weird. Donald Trump is now the weirdo old guy in the presidential race, and the age contrast between the two candidates is highlighted by how Harris conducted her campaign in the first few days.
Trump has responded to the arrival of Harris by getting even more bizarre.
Highlighting Trump’s extremism and strangeness can be a powerful political tool, but it is only one element of this campaign.
Trump is also touting an extreme right-wing agenda while running to return to the presidency as a convicted felon, and that is the second half of the case that Kamala Harris is prosecuting.
