Usha Vance was supposed to visit Greenland for three days and attend a dog sled race but nobody wanted her, so the White House cut the trip, and also sent JD Vance to visit a Space Force base.

Greenland Rejects Trump’s Unwelcome (Ad)Vances
The idea of the US taking over or acquiring Greenland is consistently met with mocking and ridicule in the United States. Even though Donald Trump is obsessed with the scheme, there is no desire among the American people or Congress to “take Greenland.”
The Trump administration is never one that is deterred by the reality of what the majority of Americans want, so they were set to deploy the vice president’s wife, Usha Vance on a days-long trip to Greenland.
The Greenlandic people and Danish officials made it clear that she was never invited, but she had been asked to wave the flag at the dogsled race by the American sponsor of the race, who is a Trump supporter.
What was supposed to be a three-day trip is now just a single day, perhaps only a few cloistered, frozen hours.
The White House did not respond to a request for comment on why the dogsled race, which takes place in Sisimiut on Saturday, was being dropped from the itinerary or why the visit has been condensed to just a single day.
The Trump administration appears to have scrambled to cook up a cover story after they were about to send the unwelcome wife of the VP to Greenland, so they threw the vice president onto the trip, cut it down to a few hours, and made it about visiting a Space Force base.
What really happened? Why did Trump, who is all about strength, suddenly back down and seem to be intimidated by the Greenlandic people?
We’ll take a look at those questions below.
