A Map To Obstruction Of Justice Charges Against Trump
It is becoming apparent that for once Donald Trump really believed it when he claimed that the classified documents were his and he thought that he could do whatever he wanted with them.
Of course, the classified documents were not his, and by whatever he wanted, the former president appears to have meant that he could show them off at Mar-a-Lago, on his private place, to journalists and even potential donors.
The New York Times reported that witnesses are being asked about a map with classified information on it and what Trump was using it for:
One person briefed on the matter said investigators have asked about Mr. Trump showing the map while aboard a plane. Another said that, based on the questions they were asking, investigators appeared to believe that Mr. Trump showed the map to at least one adviser after leaving office.
A third person with knowledge of the investigation said the map might also have been shown to a journalist writing a book. The Washington Post has previously reported that investigators have asked about Mr. Trump showing classified material, including maps, to political donors.
