Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) went the whole way to the Supreme Court to try to get out of testifying against Donald Trump, but it didn’t work, as Graham is in front of the jury in Fulton County, GA today.
The Washington Post reported, “after a drawn-out legal fight, Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) arrived at an Atlanta courthouse where he was scheduled to testify before a grand jury investigating whether attempts by Donald Trump and his associates to overturn the 2020 presidential election results amounted to criminal activity. Prosecutors in Fulton County, Ga., want to hear about conversations that Graham had with Georgia officials about mail-in ballots in the weeks following the election as Trump contested his loss to Joe Biden.”
Graham will try to avoid saying anything that would further incriminate Trump, but he is also a target of the investigation, so the South Carolina senator will need to speak carefully, or else he may find himself facing criminal charges.
