The corporate media loves and feeds off of Democratic division, and if the media can’t find division, they will create it. Democratic Party leadership gets panicky when the mainstream media talks about division, and they start to double down even harder on vanilla Democrats.
The question on the eve of Michigan’s Senate Democratic primary is whether Michigan Democrats are divided at all. Are the state’s Democrats, or a majority of them, sending a clear message that the mainstream Democratic Party is ignoring?

When looking at a state like Michigan, which we at The Daily are personally familiar with, it is important to go beyond Stevens and El-Sayed when talking about who can address the mood of the state’s electorate and also look at Republican nominee Mike Rogers.
Because Rogers only lost the 2024 Michigan Senate election by 21,000 votes, there has been an assumption of candidate strength in his 2026 candidacy, but 2026 isn’t 2024, and when Mike Rogers was asked about Donald Trump, a new question came to mind.
