This time, according to the former president, Special Counsel Jack Smith has notified him that he is a target of the federal criminal 1/6 investigation.

Trump posted a statement on Truth Social:

A prosecution of Trump for 1/6 would mean more than the other criminal charges that he is facing. An indictment of Trump for attempting to overturn the 2020 election would represent the federal government defending democracy from a domestic threat.
