House Republicans Threaten To Fire Mike Johnson If He Allows Vote On Ukraine Aid
House Republicans are apparently so opposed to democracy that they are threatening to fire Speaker Mike Johnson if he allows a vote on Ukraine aid.

Mike Johnson Threatened With Termination
After the Senate passed an aid package that includes aid for Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, and other national security interests with all Democratic and 22 Republican votes, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson said that he would not be bringing the bill to the House floor for a vote.
It is estimated that the Senate-passed bill would get over 200 Democratic votes and 100 Republican votes if it was brought to the House floor, which is why members of the House Freedom Caucus threatened Speaker Johnson.
Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH) was asked what would happen if Johnson put the Senate bill on the House floor, “He would need Democrats to hold onto the gavel at that point.”
