The Party Of Fiscal Conservatism Is Dead
Way back in the yesteryear known as 2022, House Republicans claimed that the root cause of inflation was President Biden and the Democratic-controlled Congress spending too much money.
The Republicans promised that if they were given back the House majority, they would deal with the nation’s debt and deficit. Since Republicans have a reputation for fiscal conservatism, this seems like a no-brainer.
However, House Republicans chose for their first major legislative act to pass a bill that will weaken IRS tax enforcement which will allow rich people to cheat on their taxes while blowing a $114 billion hole in the deficit.
The bill passed 221-210 and is already dead in the Senate.
The legislation is the opposite of fiscal conservatism and an act of fraud against the American people.
