House Democrats Have A Plan To Make The Rest Of Trump's Presidency Hell

House Democrats of all stripes have agreed on a plan to investigate Trump when they win back the House that will involve probing Trump's businesses and family members, who can't be protected by Trump.

Even though Trump was granted immunity for any actions taken in his official capacity by the conservative Supreme Court majority, Congress still has a duty to conduct oversight over the Executive Branch.

House Democrats have learned several lessons from the first Trump presidency. Trump will ignore subpoenas and invoke executive privilege to protect anyone working in his administration, including himself.

The Trump administration will do everything that they can to stall and slow down direct investigations. It would be foolish and a waste of time for House Democrats who are poised to win the House majority to spend their majority only directly investigating the administration itself.

Those investigations will happen, but unlike in his first administration, Trump has left the door open for Democrats to investigate his extreme corruption in a way that Trump can’t stop.

The president has reportedly been worried about House Democrats constantly investigating him if they win back the majority. Trump doesn’t want the last two years of his presidency sunk under the scrutiny of constant probes.

Donald Trump has told everyone who would listen that his second presidency is for himself.

Trump-related corruption has been so open and broad that Democrats have more avenues for investigation than the president can stop.
