Michigan Rep. Haley Stevens’ old tweets show her championing liberal, Democratic values, but when she lost the Senate primary to Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, she threw a fit and made a pivotal election all about her by reversing her endorsement of the Democrat and throwing her support behind the toxic Republican, Mike Rogers.
Selfish, greedy, myopic.

Here are just a few of her old tweets people have been digging up on social media, which demonstrate her Fetterman pivot:
If Stevens really cares about those issues, how could she have endorsed Republican Mike Rogers all because she wasn’t invited to a party?
Haley Stevens’ behavior lays bare the stark self-interest that defines the modern-day politician in the Trump era. Yes, this has always been an issue, but before Trump they at least tried to dress it up. Now, it’s just shameless opportunism.
Stevens represents everything that’s wrong with modern politicians from both parties. She represents the rot from within the establishment of the Democratic Party, those elite, faceless strategists, spin doctors and donors behind the scenes pushing the party further and further to the Right until they’re shoving someone as fickle and unstable as Haley Stevens down voters’ throats.
In the other corner, the Democratic Party had on offering a champion of the Constitution and someone who seems to actually care about voters in Dr. El-Sayed. But he was too progressive for them. They thought he couldn’t win, even though Michigan has way more registered Muslims (Michigan had an estimated 206,050 to over 200,000 registered Muslim voters — up from 162,373 in 2016) than 80,000 votes Trump won it by in 2024.
Haley Stevens’ behavior represents the rot that needs to be weeded out of office. The fact that she lost her primary is a sign that voters are fed up with party politics as usual and are demanding change.
