Hakeem Jeffries Ties The Trump Anchor Around The GOP's Neck And Lets Them Sink

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) did something that should scare every incumbent House Republican. He tied them to Donald Trump.

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) isn’t pulling any punches as he uses Trump’s unpopularity against House Republicans.

At a press conference, Jeffries said:

 What we've said from the very beginning is that Donald Trump lied about his willingness to lower costs in America and drive down the high cost of living. We said that from the very beginning and that we had them on the run, on the economy, on healthcare and social security with the economy being first amongst equals while at the same time, of course, defending freedom, liberty, justice, and due process in the United States of America, and we'll continue to do that.

But Donald Trump made a core promise to the American people. It was gonna lower costs on day one. Costs aren't going down. They're going up. Inflation is on the way up. Donald Trump is crashing the economy and Republicans in the Congress. These rubber stamp Republicans are actively letting it happen, and that's why the American people have said inside of a hundred days enough, this is a disaster.

It's an unmitigated disaster. This guy has the lowest approval rating of any president in modern American history inside of 100 days. That's extraordinary. This is the same group that bragged to all of you and the American people, that they had some extraordinary mandate. We said from the very beginning, there was no mandate.

News of our demise was greatly exaggerated.

As the mainstream media rushed to bury Democrats after the 2024 election, they forgot one important fact. Donald Trump is quite possibly the most incompetent president in US history.

House Democrats were some of the first people to begin the fight against Trump, and now that the American people have turned on Trump less than 100 days into his term, Jeffries and the Democrats are joining Republican House incumbents and Donald Trump at the hip.

For years, Republicans ran with Nancy Pelosi as the face in a million campaign ads in House elections. In 2026, the face in every incumbent House race will be Trump’s.

Many Democrats always knew that Trump would fail. What they could not have expected was that he would fail so quickly.

Trump is now an anchor around the necks of every Republican running in 2026, and Jeffries is making sure that the GOP sinks.
