Hakeem Jeffries Is Playing Chess. Jim Jordan Is Playing Candyland.

Things went much worse than Jim Jordan expected during his first floor vote to become the latest contestant on Who Wants To Be Speaker Of The House.

Jordan’s allies thought that there could be somewhere around 10 Republicans opposed to his candidacy. It turned out that there were 20.

Jordan has promised to hold as many votes as it takes to wear down his opponents and become Speaker, but after his first failed vote, Rep. Jordan canceled plans for an evening vote and said that he would try again tomorrow as if giving the members of his conference who don’t think he is qualified and see him as an election denying insurrectionist will change their minds after a good night of sleep.
