Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has put his latest version of a government funding bill on the House floor, and this version of the bill cuts disaster relief and funding to farmers while raising the debt limit for two years.
House Democrats made it clear earlier in the day that they were not just a no on the bill, but they were a hell no, which is what Jeffries told his caucus in a private meeting.
To drive the message home, Leader Jeffries took to the House floor to say in part:
