Ginni Thomas is involved in a coup. No, not the one that you know about from 1/6, but she is involved with a group of Trump allies who are trying to oust Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell.
Axios’s Jonathan Swan tweeted out a copy of the letter from conservative figures including Thomas:
These Trump-allied conservatives want to delay the leadership elections because they want to scapegoat McCarthy and McConnell so that Trump can announce his presidential campaign and have someone to blame for the midterm election.
The irony is that Kevin McCarthy sold himself out to Donald Trump, and his loyalty to running the midterm Trump’s way is what cost House Republicans a red wave.
