The Full Special Grand Jury Report Showed The Scope Of Republican Anti-Democracy Corruption
The one thing that stands out about the full Georgia Special Grand Jury report is the scope.
On pages 7-8 of the report, was one list of names who were recommended for indictment:
With respect to the national effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election, focused on efforts in Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and the 24 District of Columbia, the Grand Jury recommends that the District Attorney seek 25 indictments of the following person(s), including votes® (21):
Rudy Giuliani
John Eastman
Kenneth Chesebro
Donald Trump
Cleta Mitchell
Jenna Ellis
Mark Meadows
David Shafer
Ray Smith
Lin Wood
Lindsey Graham
Sidney Powell
Robert Cheeley
Michael Flynn
William Ligon
David Perdue
Kelly Loefller
Cathleen Latham
Misty Hampton
Scott Hall
Boris Epshteyn
Jeff Clark
Kurt Hilbert
Steven Lee
Trevian Kutt
Harrison Floyd
Alex Kaufman
Alternate Slate.
Joseph Brannan
Vikki Consiglio
The names on the list above include people whom the District Attorney chose not to indict. The entire report contains names of local, state, and federal Republicans. It is a pattern that has also been visible in states like Michigan where fake electors are also being prosecuted.
There is a tendency to frame the 2020 plot as a Trump campaign-driven conspiracy, and while the Trump White House and campaign were driving the effort there is also an ugly truth to the plot that speaks to the ongoing attack on democracy and the role of the Republican Party.
