Gavin Newsom Threatens To Prosecute Anyone Who Helps Trump Interfere In The Midterm Election
Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) warned that anyone who helps Trump interfere in California's midterm election will be prosecuted.
Blue and purple state governors have been among those on the front line pushing back against Donald Trump’s claims of rigged elections and election fraud. The states have won in court and blocked Trump’s attempts to get their voter data in order to construct a database that, along with the passage of the SAVE America Act, would allow the administration to order states to purge voters.
The SAVE America Act remains dead, but governors expect Donald Trump to try to interfere, meddle, and delegitimize the midterm election results.
The good news is that Donald Trump is a very old dog with very few tricks, so governors have already seen his playbook after the 2020 election.
