Trump’s buddy Sean Hannity always seems to be his first Fox News choice, but Bartiromo, along with Fox and Friends, were his two other go-to spots for interviews that would be even more gentle than the standard Fox News interviews.
Bartiromo like the rest of Fox allowed Trump to pre-tape his interviews. The Trump interviews were often edited to paint the president in the best light, and there have been reports over the years that the White House even has editorial control over Trump’s interviews on Fox.
Fox News didn’t give Maria Bartiromo a big sendoff to thank her for her 12 and a half years on the network.
Instead, Fox News released a terse statement that:
Effective today Maria Bartiromo is no longer with FOX News Media. Fox News media said, “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.”
That’s it. Boom. Gone.
