For The Good Of America, Democrats Need To Let The Corrupt And Decaying GOP Rot
Democrats have no intention of helping Republicans in the House, because the only path forward for the country is to let the Republican Party rot.

The Republican Party Is Rotting And Willfully Blind To Why
The United States hasn’t seen a major political party collapse and dissolve since the Whig Party in 1856. The Whig Party was a conservative party that elected four presidents: William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, Zachary Taylor, and Millard Fillmore. They aren’t exactly Mount Rushmore, but four presidents are four presidents.
The Whigs collapsed over inner-party tensions on the slavery issue, which is the simplest one-sentence way to describe a collapse that took years.
For our purposes the why of the Whig collapse isn’t as important as what caused the collapse.
The current dysfunction in the Republican Party is not limited to the House of Representatives. The chaos in the House is a symptom of a much larger tension within the Republican Party that is destroying it.
However to hear Republicans like Kevin McCarthy tell it, the real problem is Democrats.
McCarthy said on Fox News on Sunday, “The Democrats made a political decision thinking that's their place to be, but they've created as much chaos. Every single Democrat chose to create this chaos. I want to put the country first. I'm going to help lead regardless of whatever title I have.”
Video of McCarthy:
McCarthy absolved himself of any role in creating the problem by trying to appease the extremist faction of the House Republican caucus. Instead, the problem isn’t that the Republican Party is tearing itself apart through inner-party conflict but that Democrats would not use their power to prop up an empty suit speaker presiding over a decaying and dysfunctional majority.
Republicans are trying to unify by blaming Democrats, but as we will discuss below, Democrats did the right thing for America by letting the Republican Party fail.
