Flavor Flav is a better leader than Donald Trump. After Trump insulted the women's Gold Medal hockey team, the rapper invited them to Las Vegas to be celebrated in style.

After Kash Patel got busted as a liar when he claimed he wasn’t cosplaying a popular frat boy getting drunk with the U.S. Olympic men’s hockey team on the U.S. tax payer’s dime, Donald Trump called the men’s Gold Medal hockey team to invite them to the State of the Union while insulting the US Olympic Gold Medal women’s hockey team, which had not only also won a Gold Medal but as won medals consistently for years, unlike the men’s team.
Enter: Flavor Flav.
Rapper Flavor Flav is a supporter of Team USA, who signed a five-year sponsorship deal in 2024 to support both the women’s and men’s national teams. He stepped in after team captain Maggie Steffens shared that many players work multiple jobs to fund their Olympic dreams.
He calls himself the official “hype man” for Team USA.
After Trump insulted the women’s Gold Medal hockey team, he offered to host them in Las Vegas.
“If the USA Women’s Hockey team wants a real celebration and invite ,,, I’ll host them in Las Vegas,” he posted on X and Instagram. “Do some nice dinners and shows and good times. I’m sure I can get a hotel and airline to help me out here and celebrate these women for real for real.”
It wasn’t just talk, either, as he reportedly “followed that up by sharing an email his representative sent to Doug Ferry, hockey operations and event manager for the US Women’s National Program, reaffirming his offer. And already both StubHub and Alaska Airlines have reached out to Flav over social media seemingly offering to cover the women’s show tickets and airfare.”
Local business and big businesses also stepped up, offering to share their wares from cheese plates to beauty products to cookies.
Anyone with any sense would rather be with Flavor Flav and the outpouring of generosity from local and big businesses who want to celebrate the women’s Gold Medal hockey team than with the rancid, rotting corpse of democracy in DC.
It’s also good leadership. Flavor Flav is a better leader than Donald Trump. He knows how to bring people together, to honor their achievements and uplift instead of punch down.
Trump’s Failings on Display
Trump said to the men’s Gold Medal hockey team, “I must tell you, we’re gonna have to bring the women’s team. You do know that.” He said if they weren’t invited, “I do believe I probably would be impeached, OK?”
Of course Trump wouldn’t be impeached for insulting women athletes, because the Republican Party will do anything he asks of them. They don’t serve the people; they serve Donald Trump.
The women’s team declined Trump’s invitation, citing “previously scheduled” commitments. They’d rather do literally anything rather than spend time listening to an adjudicated rapist lie about the economy while his thugs are shooting US citizens.
