MAGA are attacking Rob Reiner to justify Donald Trump’s anti-presidential comments about the beloved filmmaker after his murder, but Reiner condemned the murder of Charlie Kirk.

Donald Trump is so unfit for the position he holds that even in the face of horrific tragedy, he inserts himself and his own rabid hatred. In the wake of Rob Reiner and his wife’s horrific murders, Trump used their murder to appease his own insecurities with a rant so unpresidential that is beggars belief how anyone can support him.

He followed that rant up with an appearance on Fox News saying of the murdered man, “He was a deranged person. I was not a fan. I thought he was very bad for our country.”

The right is attacking Reiner in order to justify Trump’s attacks, but here is Reiner on an episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, condemning the murder of Charlie Kirk and praising his widow.

“When you first heard about the murder of Charlie Kirk, what was your immediate, gut-reaction to it?” Morgan asked Reiner two months ago.

Reiner replied, “Horror. Absolute horror. I unfortunately saw the video of it and it’s beyond belief, what happened to him. That should never happen to anybody. I don’t care what your political beliefs are, that’s not acceptable. That’s not a solution to solving problems. And I felt like what his wife said at the service was exactly right. I’m Jewish, but I believe in the teachings of Jesus and I believe in do unto others and I believe in forgiveness. What she said was beautiful. She forgave his assassin and I think that is admirable.”

It’s devastating that a man as full of grace and talent like Rob Reiner, who co-founded the American Foundation for Equal Rights, was murdered in his home with his wife and that his own son has been arrested in connection with the crime.

Several outlets are reporting MAGA “breaking” and “backlash” to what Trump wrote, but in reality it’s just Republican Reps Thomas Massie and Marjorie Taylor Greene and Jenna Ellis.

The rest of the Republican party are silent. Complicit. And the base is out here justifying Trump’s attack.

The people who hoisted themselves upon a fictional cross and wiped Charlie Kirk’s actual hateful rhetoric attacking other people and their rights out of memory accused Democrats of not showing enough sadness over his murder.
