The Media Never Talks About What Presidents Accomplish, So Let’s Talk About Joe Biden

Every administration since the development of mass media has had the same complaint. The press always covers the bad and never covers the good. Throughout modern American political history, this complaint has, in many cases, been justified.

Journalism has become a big corporate-dominated for-profit industry. Informing the American people is a forgotten obligation that has been replaced by a 24/7 news cycle seeking drama and conflict.

For example, instead of covering Donald Trump as a threat to democracy who attempted to stage a coup, most of the media focuses on polls and horserace politics. Who is up? Who is down? What do the numbers say?

This coverage does nothing to inform the American people about what their government has done or is doing.

We’re going to do something different with today’s newsletter. We’re going to show you some accomplishments from the Biden administration without judgment.

Lowering Prescription Drug and Health Care Costs:

• Passed legislation to help 15 million Americans save $800 per year on health insurance.

• Capped the cost of insulin at $35 for seniors, made recommended vaccines free, and is requiring drug companies to pay rebates to Medicare if they raise prices faster than inflation.

• Took on Big Pharma to finally allow Medicare to negotiate for lower prescription drug prices — starting with ten of the costliest, most widely used drugs used to treat blood clots, cancers, arthritis, diabetes and more.
